Welcome to Paworld. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Paworld mobile apps, web application and related services (the "Service"), provided by Paworld Labs LLC ("Paworld", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Paworld, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@getpaworld.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, text and other content you upload or create in Paworld ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (e.g. resize/transcode), and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service — including running AI analysis you request and syncing it with family members you invite.

If you choose to publish an item to the Discover feed, you additionally grant us and other users of the Service the right to view and interact with that item as intended by the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it does not violate any third party's rights or applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or that infringes on others' rights.
Harass, threaten, impersonate or dox other users.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
Use automated means to access the Service except through documented APIs we provide.
Use the Service to build a competing product or train third-party AI models.
Upload content depicting animal cruelty or illegal activity.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.

5. AI analysis disclaimer

Paworld's AI insights (emotions, behaviors, motivations, suggestions) are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. They are not veterinary, medical, behavioral or professional advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian or certified animal behaviorist for medical or behavioral concerns. We make no guarantee about the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated result.

6. Family spaces and invitations

When you invite others to a family space, they may view, create and manage data within that space according to the role you assign them. You are responsible for the members you invite and for setting appropriate roles. Members can leave a space at any time; owners can remove members and manage permissions.

7. Paid plans and subscriptions

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the end of the current period.
Refunds are handled according to the policy of the store where you purchased (Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web billing provider), except where applicable law requires otherwise.
We may change pricing or features with reasonable notice.

8. Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g. sign-in providers, cloud infrastructure, app stores). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Intellectual property

Paworld, the Paworld logo, the app, the website and all related software, models, trademarks and content (other than Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. Your Content license for already published items, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paworld and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. In no event will our aggregate liability exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD 50.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paworld from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Paworld is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
