This Privacy Policy explains how Paworld Labs LLC ("Paworld", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use our mobile apps, web application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Paworld, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

• Account data: email, display name, password hash, authentication provider (e.g. Apple, Google).
• Pet profile data: your pet's name, species, breed, age, photos and videos you upload.
• Family space data: invited members, roles and activity you log (feeding, walks, medication, etc.).
• Content you publish: posts, comments and reactions shared to the Discover feed.
• Support messages: information you send us by email or in-app feedback.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

• Device & log data: device model, OS version, app version, IP address, crash logs, performance traces.
• Usage data: features used, screens visited, interaction events (de-identified where possible).
• Cookies & similar: on the web, we use essential cookies for session and preferences.

1.3 Information from third parties

If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. Apple, Google), we receive the basic profile information that provider shares with us based on the permissions you grant.

2. How we use information

• Provide, maintain and improve the Service, including AI behavior analysis.
• Sync your data across devices and between family members you invite.
• Personalize recommendations and insights.
• Send service-related notifications (e.g. invitations, account security).
• Detect, investigate and prevent abuse, fraud or violations of our Terms.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing of photos and videos

When you upload a photo or video for analysis, we process the media with our AI models to detect emotions, behaviors, body language and related signals. By default, your media and the resulting insights are private to you and the family members you invite. You can choose, on a per-item basis, to publish an insight to the Discover feed — in which case that item becomes publicly visible.

We may use aggregated or de-identified signals to improve model quality. We do not use your private media to train models without your consent.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

• With family members you invite into a shared space.
• Publicly, for content you choose to post to Discover.
• Service providers (cloud hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications) under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Legal: when required by law, regulation, legal process or to protect rights, property or safety.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.

5. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your rights and choices

• Access, correction, deletion: you can view, edit or delete pet profiles, media and insights in the app.
• Privacy of each insight: you decide whether any given item stays private or is published.
• Account deletion: you can delete your account from in-app settings or by contacting us.
• Communications: you can manage notification preferences in app settings.
• Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA or similar laws (including portability and objection). Contact us to exercise them.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, access controls and monitoring to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your account credentials.

8. Children

Paworld is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above.
